This real-time strategy expansion gives players three episodic expansions in one package, each with their own storyline detailing different sides of World War II. Tiger Aces sees the British 7th Armour Division attacked during D-Day’s famous tank battles. In Causeway, players take control of an American paratrooper unit dropped into combat following the first wave of D-Day landings. In the final episode, Falaise Pocket, players are put in command of the Wehrmacht Army.

Much of the battle-ridden real-time strategy found in the original Company of Heroes is still on offer in Tales of Valour, now with additional units and gameplay features. Although players can control the battlefield from afar, using Direct Fire Control it’s possible to take over units on the battlefield, engaging in real-time battles themselves. New off-road vehicles include the Schwimmwagen and Staghoud. Online, a collection of fresh battlefields have been made available, each based around its own famous engagement.
